This course is to provide students with a solid understanding of the concepts, historical perspectives, theoretical debates and methodologies surrounding country risk assessment in the global economic system. As globalisation raises the level of uncertainty and complexity for the international firm's cross-border strategy, country risk analysis has become today an essential component of strategy decisions regarding export, foreign direct investment, partnership, mergers, as well as privatisation. The course will be composed of lectures, case studies and debates with country risk experts.
